PUGLIA - OSTUNI (BR) – VALLE D’ITRIA
MASSERIA QUIETE PUGLIESE
ANCIENT 18TH-CENTURY MASSERIA IN THE COUNTRYSIDE OF OSTUNI, ITRIA VALLEY OF APULIA
Amidst the scenic views of the Itria Valley, surrounded by the greenery of nature, Masseria Quiete Pugliese welcomes us with its large outdoor spaces and stunning location, where a magical and special world opens up, full of warm colours and unique details.
MAIN DETAILS
In the middle of the countryside of Ostuni, a few kilometres from the town centre, lies Masseria Quiete Pugliese, built at the end of the 18th century, whose stone and pink plaster façade stands out against an expanse of dense Mediterranean scrub. Masseria Quiete Pugliese offers an irresistible mix of authentic character and contemporary comfort. Spacious interiors flow into gardens and outdoor oases overlooking the surrounding countryside, inviting you to explore the area's myriad charms.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE MASSERIA
THE INTERIOR: Masseria Quiete Pugliese is divided into two independent but connectable units, one part of which is used as a restaurant and the other as a private residence. The part of the masseria that is now used as a restaurant has been skilfully and finely restored. The interiors have marvellous vaulted and ribbed ceilings, the flooring is in original stone slabs, and there are numerous restored fireplaces with fine elements. The main building also has a set of terraces from which to admire the splendid landscape of the Itria Valley. As soon as you cross the threshold of this masseria you will have the feeling of stepping back in time and returning to the past, enjoying a completely relaxed atmosphere.
THE OUTSIDE: Masseria Quiete Pugliese is surrounded by about 15 hectares of land with olive groves, woods and wheat fields as far as the eye can see. Within the woods is a reservoir of about 3,000sqm for collecting rainwater that could become a large natural swimming pool. Dominating this expanse of red earth are centuries-old trees, fruit trees and Mediterranean scrub, and other stone buildings for storage and oven use. A large stone farmyard of approximately 200 square metres is positioned in the centre of the garden. Romantic courtyards enclosed by high dry-stone walls offer suggestive spaces in which to live unforgettable moments.
SERVICES AND UTILITIES
The property has a basin for the collection of rainwater with a capacity of about mc 2500 and an artesian well. The part of the masseria used as a residence is in excellent structural condition but needs some modernisation work. There is also the possibility of purchasing the adjacent property consisting of 4 groups of trulli in their original state.
THE LOCATION
Masseria Quiete Pugliese is located just outside Ostuni, a beautifully restored Baroque town with magnificent panoramic views. The Itria Valley is probably best known for its trulli, and nowhere are they more evident than in the picturesque town of Alberobello. Several other beautiful towns, such as Locorotondo, Cisternino and Martina Franca, the charming capital of the Itria Valley, are nearby. Taranto is also worth a visit and is easy to reach.
If you are looking for beaches, the Adriatic coast offers stretches of sandy and rocky coastline and excellent bathing establishments. The Ionian Sea is a little further away, but its long stretches of sandy beaches are among the most beautiful in the Mediterranean.
USES AND POTENTIAL
Masseria Quiete Pugliese is perfect for becoming a luxurious accommodation facility in the heart of the Itria Valley. It is the ideal solution for getting in touch with the most ancient part of this territory, which has always been linked to agriculture and contact with nature. It is, in fact, a structure immersed in the Apulian countryside, among the olive trees of the Itria Valley or the blue sea of Salento. Apulian masserias are dream structures and you too can dream by purchasing Masseria Quiete Pugliese

OSTUNI
